I decided to wipe out my blog and do fresh reset. There were a number of things I’d posted over the years that simply don’t speak to my interests anymore, like random stuff I’d written about productivity or book reviews and such. I can’t say I won’t write about critical theory, media studies, or technology again (I will), but in most cases I wasn’t happy with the way I was writing about those things. Didn’t feel real. There are some pieces I’m still proud of, and at some point in the future I’ll likely repost them.

Second, there was a (thankfully short) period where I was shamefully experimenting with AI-generated summary tools. Fuck AI/LLMs. I don’t want to pretend I didn’t have that short period at the beginning of the AI zeitgeist (that’s why I’m recording it, here), but I also don’t want that bullshit on my blog.

Finally, much of attention is really dominated these days by making techno/electronic music, which I’ve gotten back into over the past year, and my love affair with Emacs and GNU/Linux. If I were to guess, the site will likely focus on those two things going forward. To the extent that I keep up with it at all, of course.
